Dr. Ray Angelini

Dear Readers,

It is that time of year again when I intensively search my bookshelves and files to present you with something that I feel is truly inspirational. As you are aware, I quote Suze Orman quite often in my column. What follows is from her book, The Courage to Be Rich.

These laws of life are quite challenging, but also quite rewarding if we have the courage to live them out.

I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to write this column and share with you the work of many great people. Thank you for your ongoing interest, and may this holiday season and the coming year bring you all that your heart and soul desire.

The Five Laws of Life

  1. May every thought you think be etched in fire in the sky for the whole world to see, for in fact it is! Our thoughts create our reality and determine our words and actions. The first step in changing ourselves and our world is to change how we think. Doing so can be the stuff that miracles are made of.

  2. May every word that you say be said as if everyone in the world could hear it, for in fact they can. Words can be a source of incredible healing or intense hurt. The effect they have is up to us. Vow this year to gossip less and validate more. For once words are spoken, they can never be taken back.

  3. May every deed that you do recoil on top of your head, for in fact it will. A wise man once said, "The good that you do will come back to you, the evil that you do stays with you." This is the basic law of karma. Whatever we put out into the world invariably comes back to us. What do you want coming back at you this coming year?

  4. May every wish that you wish another be a wish that you wish for yourself, because in fact it is. We are all connected. That is why Jesus said that "whatever you do to the least of my brothers, you do for me." All of what we think, do, or say, is like a boomerang, it comes back to us. As the old saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for!"

  5. May everything you do be done as if God himself is doing it, for in fact it is. We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. We are God's vehicles and vessels here on earth. This is both a great privilege and awesome responsibility. Peace on earth and good will toward men begins with us. Strive this holiday season and in the coming year to be good ambassadors for God. The world is waiting — the rest is up to you.
